Activation Lock is designed to keep your device and your information safe in case your devices get lost or stolen.
The prerequisites for Activation Lock Bypass are:
- iOS 7.1 or greater must be installed.
- The device must be supervised, using Apple Configurator or Apple's DEP.
- The device must have a managed Apple ID configured.
- The device must have Find my iPad (or Find my iPhone) enabled.
If you erase your device without signing out of iCloud or Managed Apple ID first, it might stay protected by Activation Lock. Whether you erased it yourself or someone else erased the device, you can turn off Activation Lock by entering the correct Apple ID and password associated with the device.
